Safety Management Support
The Club’s Safety Management Support programme enables members to compare their own claims records and patterns with their fellowship members. The first step of the programme is to assist members, through benchmarking, in identifying the areas where their costs and frequency of claims are unproportionally high, but also their strong areas. With this deeper insight into claims performance compared to others, members will, with a large degree of motivation, be able to focus on the areas where it is likely that major improvements can be made.
The benchmarking analysis is only made with same or similar types of ships. Since reliable analyses require a large amount of data, these analyses are primarily carried out for members operating a ship type that constitutes a large part of the Club’s portfolio.
The ultimate aim with the Safety Management Support programme, similar to all of the Club’s loss prevention programmes, is to bring down frequency and costs of claims and sharpen the member’s competitive edge.
This programme is carried out on a strictly confidential basis. No names are disclosed in the process.
