Reference is made to Circular War Risk Insurance Terms 2019 (H&M 420/2018) dated
3 December 2018 with the terms for War Risk Insurance for 2019 for War Risk Members.

The Association hereby gives notice of cancellation as per relevant Clause W.1.3 Notice of Cancellation Automatic Termination of cover War, Nuclear etc. and Cyber attack exclusion clause with effect from 00:01 hours GMT 8 August 2019.

Cover is from that time automatically reinstated with below amendment to the terms of insurance on applicable policies.

War Insurance

Applicable for all areas of List of Areas of Perceived Enhanced Risk (JWLA024):

Blocking & Trapping Inclusion – Excess period for Total Loss compensation amended from 6 months to 12 Months

Detention – Any applicable clause in respect of cover for risk of detention amended to 12 months.

C.E.N.D (Confiscation Expropriation Nationalization Deprivation)

Applicable for all areas of List of Areas of Perceived Enhanced Risk (JWLA024):

Excess period for compensation under C.E.N.D. Insurance as a result of the insured being deprived of the free use and disposal of the vessel amended from 6 months to 12 months.

War Loss of Hire Insurance

Applicable for Persian or Arabian Gulf and adjacent waters including the Gulf of Oman west of Longitude 58° E:

Excess period to be reinstated as per existing policies, worldwide and List of Areas of Perceived Enhanced Risk, but for the Persian Gulf as defined above where Breach of Warranty will only be held covered with an excess period of minimum 30 days.

All other clauses and conditions in the war cover provided by the Association remain unaltered.
