Göteborgsvarvet - Half Marathon

On Saturday, 13 May, Gothenburg hosted Göteborgsvarvet; which is the largest annual running competition in the world in terms of entries. This year nearly 40,000 participants, from 50 countries, joined the race. In the end, the male winner was Edmond Kipngetic (KEN) at 01.01:46 and the female winner was Susan Chembai (KEN) at 01.10:40.

The race has been organised since 1980, and The Swedish Club was once again happy to join the tradition. 

We prepped with loads of pasta on Friday, and on Saturday, we were there to cheer on our members and colleagues as they took on the challenge to run 21 km through Gothenburg city.
