Quote
Persons responsible for ships scheduled to make port calls in the United States are reminded that the U.S. Coast Guard is strictly enforcing the advance notice of arrival (ANOA) requirement. The ANOA must be submitted to the USCG National Vessel Movement Center (NVMC) at least 96 hours prior to the scheduled arrival. The ANOA must be complete and accurate. Incomplete, inaccurate, or late submittals may result in denial of entry, delayed entry, issuance of a letter of warning, issuance of a notice of violation, assessment of a civil penalty of up to $32,500, imprisonment up to 6 years or a combination of these enforcement options.
