Members are advised to take caution when loading nickel ore in the Philippine area due to bad weather in the area of Surigao, Mindanao.

Our Correspondent sees an increase of loading wet cargo and local surveyors have been threatened for rejecting barges with wet cargo.

Please note that cargo documentation should be checked and cargo sampling and testing for moisture content should be conducted as near as practicable to the time of loading, in accordance with the IMSBC Code.
