Uruguay has implemented the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code
The Coast Guard authorities have recently issued a new by-law, “Dispoción Maritima No 172”, which establishes the mandatory compliance with the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code.
It also sets that the shipper shall provide the Master or his representative with appropriate information on the cargo which may be necessary for proper stowage and safe carriage of the cargo.
