The 30 September, Jacob Vierø takes the helm of Team Gothenburg, which is responsible for The Swedish Club’s activities in the Scandinavian and European markets as well as North and South America. Jacob, who is also Director of Marketing & Business Development at the Club, places increased customer service firmly at the top of the list of priorities for the future.

“I am really looking forward to taking an overall perspective on underwriting, claims and members’ advice, which will be easier when I work more hands-on in the team. This will also give me the opportunity to meet more of our members in a shorter period of time and hear their views on the Club,” says Jacob. 

Drawing on his past career in the manufacturing sector, he is fully aware of the need to continually drive forward value-added products and services for member companies. Instilling this ethos internally is also a knock-on benefit.

 His appointment was welcomed by the Club’s MD Lars Rhodin who says: “Jacob Vierø adds strength to Team Gothenburg. His educational and practical background in naval architecture, marine engineering and economics makes him well-aligned with our field of business. This gives us a natural opportunity to provide service to members and develop new business solutions”.
