The Mariner Attitude Survey (MAS) has been successfully rolled out with about 450 mariners more who have been recently enrolled in the survey which adds up into The Swedish Club Academy’s current database and is expected to exceed 1,000 mariners shortly. This means that benchmarking opportunities will now be offered to participating companies.

In November 2012, a seminar on MAS was held in Germany and early this year in the Philippines and in Singapore. All the MAS seminars were well received and different companies concerned with safety and improving seafarers’ life onboard have already shown interest. This is just the start of something bigger which will fully benefit the shipping industry and the Academy is looking forward to collaborating with new companies in the survey.
