As a result of the global financial crisis and recession, we envisage that an increasing number of ships will be taken out of operation for lay up.

This Circular outlines the guidelines and recommendations as regards ship lay-up. The Association hereunder describes under what conditions the Association will offer cover for ships being laid up. In addition the Association’s amended policy in respect of lay up returns is stated below.
