The Swedish Club attended the 2011 Donsö Tanker Meet, the shipping exhibition on Donsö island which was arranged for the second time by local shipping companies and volunteers from the Island. 220 exhibitors from the shipping sector had set up their stands in Donsö’s sports arena. The Swedish Club was of course represented by a number of staff attending over the two-day event. The exhibition was very well organized as was the excellent three-course dinner, which was held in the picturesque surroundings of Donsö harbour and was attended by over 600 seated guests. The next event will be on 3 and 4 September 2013, and no doubt we will pencil the dates in our calender. The surplus from the exhibition will go to a foundation, which will promote activitites on Donsö island for children, young people, and the elderly.
