We are pleased to announce that The Swedish Club Academy today has signed an MRM licence agreement with Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training, popularly known as HIMT, in Chennai, India.

The Institute was established by Mr Sanjeev S. Vakil in September 1998. From a single classroom conducting three courses, HIMT has become India’s largest maritime training institute conducting more than 50 courses (approved by Government of India – Directorate General of Shipping) in modern and well-equipped training facilities.

In a span of about twelve years, HIMT has trained around 111,000 candidates including post-sea, pre-sea and value added courses.
