As of March 20th, 2007, MRM Workshop Leader training is available in Göteborg, the home town of The Swedish Club. The WSL training will be carried out in conjunction with standard MRM courses at the Chalmers University of Technology. Capt Hans Hederström, well-known to those involved in resource management training, is the facilitator.

The first course starting today have gathered active mariners from various shipping companies, a vetting inspector from a chemical tanker operator, coast guard representatives and two psychologists from a seafarer assessment company. The first WSL candidate attending WSL training at Chalmers represents the NSB Academy in Buxtehude.

We believe that WSL training in Sweden shall be a good complement to the existing WSL training carried out at Star Cruises Ship Simulator Centre in Malaysia, especially for our European clients.
