Team Norway hosted an engaging breakfast seminar at the picturesque Tjuvholmen Sjømagasin on 4 May 2023.

Brokers, members, and business partners gathered for a breakfast buffet featuring traditional Norwegian delicacies, followed by a business update on the Swedish Club’s activities in Norway from Area Manager Tore Forsmo.

Attendees were then introduced to the Club’s new Managing Director, Thomas Nordberg, who shared his thoughts on his first hundred days leading the Club and the way forward.

The highlight of the event was a fascinating presentation from Øystein Uksnøy, CEO of Uksnøy & Co AS, who talked about their vessel Geo Barents. The vessel which normally provides services in the oil and gas sector, has been located in the Mediterranean Sea as a search and rescue ship for Doctors Without Borders for 2 years. Øystein talked about the ongoing operation of rescuing refugees at sea and the current humanitarian situation in the area. Øystein provided a different and appreciated perspective on shipping.
