4 Dec – Zero percent General Increase for 2016, in a move which supports the continued balanced approach adopted by the Club considering the state of the global shipping market.

29 Dec – This summer, Victor Bogesjö, Senior Marine Claims Executive at The Swedish Club’s Norwegian office, offered hands-on support for a special initiative between the Swedish Sea Rescue Society and Schibsted Sverige aimed at saving lives in the Mediterranean.

Protection & Indemnity Insurance 2016/201711 Dec – The Club’s targeted combined ratio of 100% for P&I is expected to be met for 2015/16 and we budget for a balanced result for policy year 2016/17.

Marine circular: War Risk Insurance 2016

Wreck Removal Convention
22 Dec – Since the Convention entered into force on 14 April 2015 the Bahamas, Cyprus and Panama have become States Parties bringing the current number of WRC Parties to 25.
US Vessel Response Plans – California Shoreline Protection – MSRC
23 Dec – As of 1 January 2016, MSRC will no longer provide California Shoreline Protection (“CASP”) and On Water Response Coverage services for vessels calling at the Port of Hueneme, California USA and/or transiting the southbound traffic lanes of the Santa Barbara Channel.
