Murphy, Rogers & Sloss, New Orleans, US, has provided us with the following information.

Quote

We attach a copy of the following documents we received from the USCG Marine Safety Office New Orleans concerning the severe high water river conditions in the Mississippi River:

1. Marine Safety Bulletin (Volume V , Issue III / January 2005) — “Waterways Safety Information Report – High Water River Conditions“;

2. Marine Safety Bulletin (Volume V, Issue IV / January 2005) — “Waterways Safety Advisory: Managing Hazards of Downstreaming Evolutions).”

Please note that the attached bulletins were issued by the USCG as there is considerable concern that the Mississippi River’s present severe high water conditions could threaten marine traffic in the Lower Mississippi River.
