A new Management Group for The Swedish Club, headed by Managing Director Frans Malmros, is to drive forward a new commercial strategy for the Club.

Frans Malmros says: “We intend to develop a stronger commercial dimension to the Club’s operations worldwide. In addition, we seek further growth, especially in areas such as Northern and Eastern Europe and the Far East.”

Beyond Frans Malmros, the new Management Group consists of: Lars Rhodin, Deputy Managing Director; Lars A. Malm, the newly-appointed Director, Team Management; Helena Wallerius Dahlsten, Director, Human Resources and Legal Counsel; and Jan Rydenfelt, Director, Finance and Reinsurance.

Other changes include the appointment of Peter Stålberg – formerly Technical Director – as Area Manager of Team Göteborg III, succeeding Lars Malm. He has a brief to continue the major expansion of the Club’s business, particularly in northern Europe.

The new management structure also affords the opportunity to reinforce underwriting capacity. Plans are well advanced to recruit additional underwriters for Göteborg and Hong Kong-based Team Asia.
