A historical trip, 19 June 2013
A trip was arranged on Wednesday 19 June to visit the historic 17th century New Älvsborg Fortress at the entrance of Gothenburg harbour. The fortress is probably the most well-preserved example in Sweden. During the Swedish/Danish war between 1717 and 1719, the fortress was attacked many times without being captured. Today it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Gothenburg.
