
Loss Prevention Officer – The Swedish Club, Göteborg
We are looking for a Loss Prevention Officer with a nautical background and who is eager to work in the field of marine insurance.
Our operation is divided into four teams, two located in Gothenburg, one in Piraeus and one in Hong Kong. Each team is responsible for members within a certain geographical area and has all necessary resources to deliver high quality services in relation to all classes of insurance offered by the Club. Our loss prevention group is a part of the Risk & Operation department and located in our head office in Gothenburg. It co-operates closely with our four teams.

Work Description
As a Loss Prevention Officer you are responsible for initiating and pursuing loss prevention projects. The working tasks include:
- Initiating loss prevention projects
- Co-ordinating and pursuing loss prevention projects
- Gathering och analysing statistics
- Producing loss prevention publications and information
- Assisting colleagues with data in preparation of meeting, seminars, articles, etc
- Attending meetings with members for the purpose of discussing loss prevention activities
- Making presentations and holding seminars
- Writing articles
- The job offers some travelling and communication with shipowners and Ship managers on a world wide basis.
Place of work
The place of work is our office in Gothenburg.
Qualifications
This position is offered to you who have a degree in nautical science and at least five years’ seagoing experience from various types of ships. Preferably, you also have experience from shorebased work with a shipowner or shipmanager in a safety or quality related role. You have to be fluent in Swedish and English. The job also requires excellent social and cultural skills and a proactive work style.
