Maritime Safety and Survival Training Centre ICE-SAR joins the MRM network
We have the pleasure to announce that Maritime Safety and Survival Training Centre (MSSTC) in Reykjavik, Iceland, today has signed an MRM licence agreement.
MSSTC is owned by Icelandic Association of Search and Rescue (ICE-SAR) which was created by the merger of the National Life-saving Association and Landsbjörg, the Association of Icelandic Rescue Teams. The mission of ICE-SAR is to prevent accidents and save human lives and valuables. The establishment of MSSTC is one of the accomplishments that ICE-SAR and its parent associations have achieved.
MSSTC was founded in 1985 and can today provide a wide variety of courses with focus on maritime safety. The well equipped classrooms are situated on board the training vessel Sæbjörg, a ferry which was given to ICE-SAR by the Government of Iceland and converted into an education centre with space for booth lectures and practical exercises.
We wish MSSTC good luck with their training activities.
