Work Description

As a Senior Claims Executive you will belong to a team of professional claims handlers with expertise in all areas of P&I and marine insurance. Examples of work tasks:

• Handling all sorts of FD&D claims including drafting of claims submissions
• Handling P&I claims as required
• Providing legal advice to members
• Assisting in developing the FD&D portfolio
• Writing articles for the Club’s publications
• Participating in and organizing seminars
• Travel to attend legal proceedings or to assist and meet with members

Place of work and period of employment

The place of work is our office in Central Plaza in Hong Kong. The employment starts as soon as possible and is intended to be of a permanent nature.

Qualification

You are preferably a qualified solicitor or barrister in Hong Kong, England & Wales or other common law country. You have 5-7 years’ experience from practising maritime law with a law firm, shipping company or a P&I Club. Experience from a shipping company is also relevant.

You also need:

• good knowledge of time- and voyage charterparties and related disputes
• good negotiation skills
• fluency in English and Mandarin
• cultural and social skills
