
Staff Surveyor
Work description and areas of responsibility
Your job is to independently investigate and handle technical matters in relation to Hull & Machinery and P&I insurance. Your working field is more or less global and the job involves extensive travelling. Your tasks will include ship surveys, technical investigations, assisting members in the repair process, providing technical advice, loss prevention work and risk assessment.
Education and experience
You are a marine engineer with a solid background in shipping. We believe that you have some ten years’ experience with five years in a senior position as chief engineer or superintendent. Experience from shipyards, marine insurance sector or a classification society is an advantage.
Fluency in English is a requirement.
Personal qualities
We are looking for a person who is devoted and committed to the profession and to the task. The interrelations in this job require a receptive mind and good communication skills. You should have good analytical skills, be persistent and possess a drive to complete tasks. We want you to have a proactive working style and an open and flexible approach with a taste for solving problems.
