SJÖLOG is an annual event that brings students and professionals together. Companies will have the opportunity to meet and market themselves to students and potential employees. SJÖLOG offers a unique opportunity to make new contacts. (Find more information on www.sjolog.se.)
SJÖLOG 2015 was held over two days, 18-19 February. The first day consisted of seminars and interesting lectures. There was also a debate panel discussing ”New Ways of Shipping”.
The exhibition was on the second day and companies presented themselves in showcases, students could make new contacts with various companies and also listen to interesting company lectures.
Dimitra Chourdaki, Assistant Claims Executive from The Swedish Club reports:
“Participating in the Sjölog 2015 along with many companies involved into shipping was a very nice experience.
It was very interesting to see what other people, mainly students, know about marine insurance and The Swedish Club in particular.”
” It was very satisfying to see that many young people are interested in a career at the Club and most of them are well informed about our business and our good reputation in the industry.”
Dimitra emphasises – It is always beneficial to speak with young professionals, listen to their queries and their career plans. We enjoyed it a lot and we hope that we assisted the students in finding out more about the Club.
