
Risk Manager to Head office in Göteborg
Our Risk Management function is under development in tune with the implementation of Solvency II and our business strategies. As a result, we need to strengthen our resources in areas such as financial modeling, actuarial assessment, analytical support and risk management. We are looking for a person who can shoulder these responsibilities. The successful candidate will be phased in gradually into the role and eventually report to the Managing Director.

Work description
• Further development of the our Internal Capital Model covering all important risk areas in the operation of the Club
• Further development of pricing models for insurance products together with templates and guidelines for users in the organisation
• Actuarial confirmation of claim reserves in connection with final accounts
• Analytical support for the business involving close cooperation with other departments
• Analytical control of the Club’s strategy implementation and follow up of business operations
• Development of the Risk Management function in accordance with our strategy, Solvency II and other regulatory requirements
The role offers continuous training and development and we will encourage and support the training required becoming a certified actuary in accordance with the requirements of either Svenska Aktuarieföreningen or the International Association of Actuaries.
Qualifications
A requirement for this position is that you hold a University degree in Mathematics/Statistics. Studies in Insurance Mathematics or Insurance Statistics is not required but is considered as an advantage. Experience from actuarial or risk management related work is also an advantage. We put emphasis on teamwork so practice from working closely with other people is a plus. Skills in statistical/mathematical software such as SAS, Minitab, Matlab or R is a requirement as is advanced knowledge of Excel, including building macros and extensions in Visual Basic or C. It is an advantage if you possess knowledge of dynamic financial analysis software and insurance business including regulatory matters.
You have to be fluent in Swedish and English.
Apart from an analytical mind you need to possess a commercial instinct and an ability to adopt a comprehensive view of the business. In your role as analytical support you will interact closely with other people in the organisation. Success factors are team oriented approach and a drive to adding value. The job also requires good communication, social skills and leadership qualities.
