Cyber insurance
In an era where maritime operations are increasingly digital, the risk of cyber attacks poses a serious threat to vessels. The Swedish Club’s cyber cover is designed to provide robust protection against these evolving cyber risks, filling the gaps left by traditional marine insurance policies.
The product is available on a yearly fleet aggregate limit basis in the form of an affordable cyber cover, providing various levels of protection.

Protection against cyber‑related risks
As maritime operations are becoming increasingly digital, the risk of cyber incidents poses a significant and growing operational risk, especially when taking into account that most marine insurance policies include a cyber exclusion clause. Disruptions to navigation, propulsion or communication systems caused by a cyber incident that result in physical damage, collisions/contact, loss of hire or other consequences may not be covered unless a bespoke cyber insurance is in place.
The Club’s Cyber insurance solution has been developed in partnership with leading cyber risk specialists to offer robust protection for vessels suffering from physical damage and operational disruptions caused by cyber incidents, incidents often excluded from conventional marine policies.
