In addition to core War Risks insurance, a range of supplementary covers can be arranged to address specific exposures arising from politically sensitive or high‑risk trading.
These additional covers are designed to complement War Risks insurance and may be arranged individually or in combination, subject to agreed terms.
Covers include but not limited to
Shipowners
Cover includes legal and associated costs arising from
Drug Seizure insurance – Cover for losses and liabilities arising from the discovery or seizure of drugs onboard.
C.E.N.D. (Confiscation, Expropriation, Nationalisation and Detention) – Protection against loss resulting from state actions affecting the vessel.
Non‑physical Loss of Hire / Piracy Loss of Hire – Compensation for loss of earnings resulting from war‑related events or Piracy without physical damage to the vessel.
Other tailored war‑related extensions – Structured to reflect specific trading patterns, contractual exposure or operational risk.
Availability, terms and limits are subject to risk assessment, trading area and prevailing conditions.
