The Marine Insurance Course (MIC) covers the important aspects of marine insurance, ranging from terms and conditions to the practical handling of claims and loss prevention.
The focus is on the three major types of marine insurance:
- Protection & Indemnity (P&I)
- Hull & Machinery (H&M)
- Freight Demurrage & Defence (FD&D)
The lectures are given by employees of the Club, all contributing with their personal expertise and experience.
This course provides an excellent opportunity for people working for shipowners, ship managers, marine insurance brokers and club correspondents to improve their knowledge of marine insurance and learn more about The Swedish Club.
Members of The Club have priority, but based on availability, the course is open to other interested parties.
- No course fee for members of the Club
- USD 1,750 for non-members
- Travel and accommodation to be paid by the participant.
Please note: The course is held in English (University level). All course participants must be able to understand and speak English on a high level in order to be able to participate in discussions and workshops.
